Russian author leo tolstoy’s short story“how much land does a man need”(1886) focuses on pakhom, a poor man who becomes fixated on the idea that his life would be perfect if only he owned more land.
Throughout this story, tolstoy was trying to tell us that human nature pushes us for more than what we need many of us think that having ownership makes us happy, in fact it does, but we need to understand that once the process starts, there is no end until the death that was tolstoy was reflecting, in the end all he needed was a piece of land.

How much land does a man need is such a wonderful story both stories had the same main idea centered around mans greed although how much land does a man need was the bigger hit i don't know if these stories were actually in the bible, so i judged it as a complete fiction and that's why the 4 stars.
Tolstoy ends his story with an excellent example on pahom’s last trip to find land, he gained an opportunity to gain land as much as he wanted pahom made a deal that he would gain the land that he made mark on if he came back to the starting point before sunset.
